I am currently a freshman at Stanford University and majoring in English and Computer Science with a minor in Spanish. My passion lies with reading and writing, and when I was in high school, I helped my classmates with their papers by editing them and also giving them guidance on how to make their essays better. I also love Spanish and have been studying it for seven years now. I have won numerous awards and scored very high on Spanish exams, and I also acted as a translator for Spanish speaking medical students. For four years I was a tutor at my school and worked with both high school and middle school students. I have helped students from age 11 up to middle school in math such as Algebra I and II and also Pre-Calculus. I scored highly in a math program that consisted of Calculus and Statistics. I am a piano instructor and find that I can utilize my skills from teaching piano, and incorporate this into tutoring in English and math. Creativity is important to me, and also being able to understand what each of my students needs when aiding them in their studies. My commitment to my students is of the utmost importance, and I will not continue on until the student completely understands the material at hand.
