Experience
I received my bachelor's degree from California State University - Long Beach, in Aerospace Engineering, and am currently working to get into a graduate program focusing on space systems or propulsion. As an undergraduate student, I also worked as a tutor and helped a number of my peers with their engineering and math studies, including advanced courses like calculus, physics, dynamics, statistics, and differential equations. Since I was an elementary student, I have always worked as a tutor in some form whether it was teaching private students or helping my younger siblings with their homework and classroom material. In addition, I've also worked as a camp counselor over the summer, where I helped various children of all ages improve their survival and life skills. I believe that the key to success in the classroom is being able to connect with my students, come up with interesting games and activities, and teach in a way that works best for them. One of the best parts of being an educator is being able to inspire someone to seek out knowledge outside of the classroom and use education to enrich their personal and professional lives. When I'm not teaching, I like to spend my time outdoors hiking, fishing, and walking my dog at the beach.
